My work is primarily about story telling. I think of myself not as an artist so much, but as a creator of characters. These little characters capture the enchantment, wonder and fear one experiences in childhood. Vintage toys, folk art and story book images both adorable and creepy inspire the unique look of my work.
These characters are sculpted from clay and set in shadow boxes or mounted on wood.
I have has shown in galleries and art shows all over the United States. My puppets were also featured in the movie “Plush” (director Catherine Hardwick, “Twilight” and “Lords of Dogtown”).
